  Always an undignified, soul destroying experience. Long call waiting times, never get to speak to the correct person - usually passed from person to person, achieving very little, with unprofessional, unsupportive staff. It's extremely unpleasant when feeding and keeping your family warm is at stake. Left without money for long periods of time. Having to basically beg for loans from the government, on hold for long periods of time in urine soaked phone boxes, hungry, in the freezing cold, for money we have to pay back after THEY have made mistakes. I am still paying back crisis loans from 10 years ago which i should never have had to take in the first place.
  
  If you are unemployed, try with all your might to get a job - whatever it is - before you fall into this hideous trap. If you are unlucky enough to be unable to work for health reasons this system is unforgiving at best. In my experience, this place perpetuates low mood, depression, mental illness and ultimately, unemployment. it's not surprising people are drawn to alcohol, drugs and crime. It will scar you for life if you are long term unemployed. If you are unlucky enough to have no support network - make connections with genuinely good people, they are more valuable than you will ever know. This system is not an "easy life" contrary to popular belief, people end up suffering through no fault of their own yet treated like scum. Universal credit has an acronym for their job seekers of RAGS! How undignified! This place should be motivating and inspiring people, not eating away at their self esteem.
  
  Apologies for such a negative rant, but this really does not begin to express my frustration with the way our country treats it's most vulnerable.
